Although Sue and I travel all over the UK and the world to photograph our beautiful weddings, its always nice when we find a gem a little closer to home and thats just what we found off a sleepy lane in Essex when we happened upon Gaynes park barn for our first wedding there during Spring 2011.
Gaynes Park is an exciting barn wedding venue in the grounds of a historic country estate in Epping, Essex. It is available for Civil Ceremonies, Civil Partnership Ceremonies and Wedding Receptions and is easily accessible from London, only minutes from the M25 and M11 at Epping.
It is approached up a long drive, through parkland and farmland, which is immediately impressive and calming. It is hard to believe this superb country boutique wedding venue is at the end of the Central Line.
Our couple were married in the beautiful Orangery, then the wedding reception was in The Mill Barn but there is also The Gather Barn, which is an open sided barn and ideal to catch some shade in the summer or to escape from a spring shower and the Apple Loft Honeymoon Cottage is the perfect preperation area for brides, The Walled Garden is pretty all year round making the venue perfect for weddings in all seasons.
Gaynes Park has built its reputation not just on its beautiful location and surroundings, but on the exceptional quality of the food. Specialising in modern British cuisine, our chosen fine food company, the Galloping Gourmet, offers a superb dining experience. Some of their young, talented and enthusiastic chefs have trained in Michelin star and AA-Rosette establishments and produce food that both looks elegant and beautiful on the plate and also tastes sublime.
